Introduction to Coding - 3 October 2018 - FULL

If you are a complete beginner when it comes to coding or you are struggling to find interesting coding projects this one day course could be perfect.

We'll work out what the Computing curriculum requires, explore a range of coding activities, investigate the micro:bit and share some useful resources. We'll also consider how to develop coding activities that support less able pupils and extend those that seem to know more than we do! They'll be some quick wins and interesting 'hacks'.

No previous experience necessary.

Audience: KS2 teachers who love, hate or are afraid of coding! Computing/ICT leads looking for ways to help colleagues get to grip with coding.

Please note: This will be a hands-on, practical day. You will be writing and debugging short computer programmes using Scratch and/or similar blocky coding languages.
