AUDIENCE:
KS1 and KS2 Computing/PSHE Leads

YOU WILL:

  • Know how to assess your E-Safeguarding policies, procedures and practices with 360 Safe tool
  • Understand the difference and overlap between online safety and digital literacy and how these impact on planning
  • Explore ways to teach about fake news copyright, plagiarism and to evaluate websites
  • Review Education for a Connected World Framework and discuss how it could be used in your school
  • Understand Cyber security risks (including personal data, phising, scams and ransomware) for your schools and how to reduce them
  • Consider your schools position on online learning and remote teaching
  • Share online safety resources

ICT/ Computing Leaders' Day 13th Oct 2020

In Association with The Pargaon Teaching School Alliance and Hampton Hargate Primary School, Peterborough

AUDIENCE:
KS1 & KS2 teachers with responsibility for leading Computing /ICT. Suitable for both new/aspiring
computing leads as well as more experienced colleagues.

YOU WILL:
Understand the Computing programme of study including key vocabulary, what it means and how to teach it at KS1 & KS2
Consider how to prepare for an Ofsted deep dive into Computing –understanding progression, collecting and sharing evidence, assessment, evaluating Teaching & Learning in computing, planning for success
Discuss different ways to organise the computing curriculum in primary schools 
Know how to take staff with you when developing the computing curriculum and how to access a range of CPD for developing subject knowledge and skills
Share ideas on curriculum resources (hardware and software) including what’s good to buy, 
what is available for free and how to make the most of what you have.

This course will be delivered via Microsoft Teams 

Part 1 - Tuesday 13th October 2020  - 1.00 pm - 4.30 pm

Part 2  - Tuesday 3rd November 2020 - 4.00 pm - 5.30 pm
