It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our CEO, Chris Kastel, this week.

From kick-starting a project to provide 2Mb broadband connections to secondary schools in the East of England back in 1998, to becoming one of the leading lights of the NEN and CEO of E2BN, Chris has been a staunch supporter of schools and educational technology. He has worked tirelessly to provide high-speed, reliable and safe broadband to schools.

Despite the team at E2BN having been preparing for Chris's departure for the last 12 months, with the succession plan ensuring a seamless transition for customers, his enthusiasm and energy will, of course, be sorely missed and will leave a significant gap in our working lives.

On behalf of the Directors, customers, suppliers and staff team, we wish Chris a very long, fulfilling and richly deserved retirement and thank him for his years of dedicated service to education.
