New Data Protection Laws & Schools

Workshops for Schools

You may have heard that the data protection laws are changing. The new law is called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applies to how all organisations, including schools, collect, hold and share personal information. On May 25th, 2018, your school must be compliant with the new law.

To support you to understand and prepare for the changes, we are organising various events with our partner, Data Protection Education Limited.

GDPR Awareness Session

Together with Data Protection Education (DPE), we are offering awareness sessions at our Hertfordshire offices on October 10th and 13th from 3.30pm. Suitable for school leaders and governors, the sessions are interactive and will use school-based examples to help you understand what your school needs to do to comply.

Can’t make these dates?

We are running other events in and around the region, including in Cambridge, Chatteris, Bedford, Northampton and Milton Keynes. Click here to view the full event listing.

Further Training and Support

The awareness session is the beginning of a programme of training events that we will be offering as well as tools and consultancy to support your compliance.
