Web Filtering and Caching - Protex

E2BN can now offer schools a fully tested, accredited web filteirng service. E2BN's Protex web filtering system has received full Becta accreditation by blocking over 90% of all inappropriate material. E2BN achieved 100% in the Adult, Drugs, and Racist categories and 96% in Hacking and Violence. Schools can purchase a local cache/filtering appliance sure in the knowledge that it has been independently tested and approved for school use.

Caching

E2BN manage a distributed caching service which is integrated with the web filtering service (see below). There is central caching available at the Core and each LA taking the web filtering service also receives local caching.
