Winners E2BN Picture Competition 2008

E2BN asked all delegates attending the annual E2BN conference on the 24th and 25th June to bring at least 5 pictures that could be added to our E2BN gallery. If delegates did this they received a memory stick (kindly sponsored by DB Education) and all the photographs were entered into the E2BN picture competition.
The pictures could be newly taken shots or scans of old photographs. We were delighted with the high quality of pictures that were received over the two days of the conference.
The pictures were then judged by our independent experts. We were particularly pleased that two of the winning entries came from pupils. The winning pictures were:
INDIVIDUAL PICTURES:
- 1st place - Four elderly gentlemen submitted by Ruth Jacks
- 2nd place (joint) - Owl, submitted by a pupil at Spaldwick Community Primary School
- 2nd place (joint) - Deer, submitted by a pupil at Spaldwick Community Primary School
- 3rd place - Machu Picchu, submitted by Kevin Penny
- 4th place - Sand Sculpture at Great Yarmouth
SPECIAL ALBUM PRIZE:
- A special album prize has also been awarded for a truly stunning album of pictures submitted by Parkfields Middle School (see also picture above).
All the winning photographs can be viewed at the URL below.
If you have any pictures that you would like to submit to the gallery please visit www.gallery.e2bn.org. Registration is easy. All of the photographs on the E2BN Gallery are available for educational use to all schools. As well as pictures we are also building up high quality audio and video libraries. The picture gallery is a broadband resource, so please submit your pictures at the highest quality available and do not optimise for the web. The E2BN gallery will automatically provide images of different size options for use by users.
