Enter the E2BN Awards 2008

  • Are your pupils interested in story writing or investigating current and topical issues?

  • Would they like to win an innovative prize or a cash award.

If you can answer YES to the above questions then you may be interested in entering our 2008 competition based around a choice of two challenges:

Current Events - Future History, using Museum Box - this challenge will ask: What are the most important issues today?

The E2BN Story Writing Challenge, using the tools on the Myths and Legends site.

Challenge 1: Current Events - Future History

  • What current events will be a focus of history in the future?
  • What are the most important issues we face?
  • What is the evidence to support this?

To enter the competition entrants must submit an argument illustrating why a current topical issue is important to the future. The argument must be constructed using the E2BN Museumbox tool and provide evidence to support the case.

Museumbox is a cross curricular tool that allows students to build up an argument or description of a person or event by placing items into a virtual box. You can display anything from a text file to a movie.

This competition is open to schools throughout the UK. Entries are welcome from pupils of all ages. The winning entries will win an innovative prize.

To enter you need to:

  • Register your school to use the site
  • Follow the instructions to construct a museumbox.
  • Please remember to ensure you include the word competition in your title, so that we know that you want to be considered for a prize

Challenge 2: The E2BN Story writing challenge

The celebrate the success of our 'Myths and Legends' site, E2BN is running a creative writing competition entitled- 'Dragons, Wizards, Mystery and Magic'

To enter students must submit a story to the E2BN site using the tools provided on the site. The story can be uploaded either:

Using the 'Add a story' feature. This will allow you to submit a text story accompanied by an attachment such as a video, PowerPoint, Word document or Picture File.

Or by:

Using the E2BN Story creator2 tool, which allows students to create a story using pictures, text and sound.

The story must be an original composition and be between 300 and 760 words. It must be related to the topic of myths and legends.

The winning entries will win an innovative prize. This competition is open to schools throughout the UK. Entries are welcome from pupils of all ages.

Prizes will be presented at the E2BN Conference on 25th June 2008, at The Robinson Centre, Wyboston.
