E2BN makes 'significant global contribution'

On Friday 5th October the winner of the 2007 Global Junior Challenge will be announced at a ceremony in Rome.About 600 projects from 80 countries have taken part in this award. Among the finalists will be 'E-ngageLive', an E2BN funded project from Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, which has been nominated for its contribution to high tech innovation in creative learning. Engagelive's online classroom activities about cyberbullying have been recognised for enabling young people to develop their own personal safety strategies. Davis Casey, E-ngage founder and developer stated, 'To be a finalist in the Global Junior Challenge is a significant recognition of the work that E-ngage and E2BN have been doing. It shows that here in Britain and especially in the East of England we are making a globally significant contribution to innovation in the use of technology in education and e-inclusion. We are delighted to be recognised in this way.'
