SamAsh Hits Play at Rock Idol Final

SamAsh Hits -East of England finalist in the Schools Rock Idol Competition 2006, travelled to Endeavour House (the Offices of Suffolk County Council) to compete in the final. The final was held on 30th November and conducted over video conferencing with entries from across the UK. The band consists of Ash ? guitar and vocals, Sam guitar and backing vocals, Nathan ?base guitar and Mikey ? drums. Three of the band members are pupils at Bungay High School in Suffolk.

The band gave a fantastic performance and gained some of the best comments of the day from the judges, who were astonished at how professional they were and how well they played together. Unfortunately they were narrowly beaten when the online votes along with the judge's comments were taken into consideration. Despite this the band did us proud and the judges felt they were easily good enough to play at rock festivals and events in the future. We wish the band all the best and hope to hear from them again.
