Want to be a Rock Idol?

Over the winter term, bands from schools across the country will be taking part in this year's national 'Rock Idol' competition. Register your band and school now! Regional finals will be judged on 13th November with the national finals taking place at the end of November. By entering, you'll have the opportunity to develop your fan base through your own personal Blog site on the Rock Idol website. You need to be in a band and to perform an original song not longer than 5 minutes in length. To join in you will need to register on the National Rock Idol website. Once you have done this confimation will be sent to E2BN. As well as registering on the National site you will also need to register on the E2BN rock idol site to take part in the regional heats. Registration is simple, go to the E2BN Rock Idol Web site (http://rockidol.e2bn.net) or click on the link below and enter you band details. You will also need to upload a 3-5 minute recording of your music to the site in MP3 format, you will also be able to upload a picture of the band.

All entries must be submitted to the E2BN site by the 6th November 2006. From the 7th - 13th November voting will turned on and people will be able to go to the site and vote for their favourite band. A panel of judges from across the region will then select the winner from the three bands with the most votes. The winner will go throught to the national final and recieve £200 towards equipment for the band. The performance for the national finals will take place over a video conferencing link in your local area. This will be seen live across the internet and everyone can vote online for you to win.
