E2BN Wii Olympic Results!
It's great to know that we have some future Olympians in our school's region.
The E2BN Wii Olympics final was a fantastic day with some amazing scores gained by the contestants.
Nine schools from across our region attended the event bringing over 160 pupils.
The day started with Archery, Izaak from Park Lane school and Charlie from Milton Road Primary being the Gold Medals winners from the two age groups. Silver was won by Chloe from Werrington Primary and Toby from Great Paxton Primary with the Bronze Medals going to Eloisa from Milton Road Primary and Megan from Great Paxton Primary.
Next was the Cycling event, the Gold Medals went to Adam from Woodhall Primary and Faye from Great Paxton Primary, Silver went to Elso from Werrington Primary and Joe from Great Paxton and Bronze to Finely from Park Lane Primary and Connor from Milton Road Primary.
Canoeing was broken up with lunch in the middle and the pupils were able to have their lunch on the stands at the Peterbrough United Football Club where the event was held. In this event the medal winners were, Gold to Samantha from Bure Valley and Melissa from Milton Road, Silver to Ify from Bure Valley and James from Milton Road and Bronze to James from Park Lane and Faye from Great Paxton. It was a really close run for the Silver and Bronze medals in the Years 5 and 6 group as five of the contestants scored the same and then had to have a row off to see who would win the medals.
The Basketball winners were Gold, Limon from Woodhall School and jointly Jude from Milton Road Primary and Sam from Bure Valley. The Silver medal winners were, Harry from Bure Valley and jointly, Jacob from Bure Valley and Scott from Park Lane. Bronze was won by Jack form Park Lane and Faraaz from Gladstone Primary.
The final event of the day was the Table tennis and the scores in the event were outstanding, with the Gold medals going to Mischa and Mohammed both from Milton Road. Silver was won by Usman from Gladstone primary and Joe from Great Paxton. The Bronze medals went to Finella and Finley both from Milton Road.
This made Milton Road Primary in Cambridgeshire the overall winning school who won the Wii Console, Balance Board and software, the Silver went to Great Paxton and the Bronze to Bure Valley.
Peterborough United Football Club kindly donated two tickets to their match against Reading on 20th March and these were won by Alfie from Park Lane Primary.
