The successful launch of Cookit took place on Friday 9th October at Edworth Manor Barn. Attendees included the British Nutrition Association, and the Design and Technology Association. Cookit is a fantastic, innovative online resource, with a primary purpose of improving pupil's skills, understanding and enjoying healthy eating.

The day was filled with fabulous cookery demonstrations from cooks through the ages. They showed how people from their times, used ingredients and utensils to make some interesting meals. Jack Greene, a Medieval alchemist brought the sights, sounds and smells of the past to life explaining what potions were used during the Medieval times.

Pupils from Harrold Priory Middle School joined us for a Victorian Sunday School in the church at Edworth Manor, and then had fun with Victorian games on the grass. Two of the pupils also cut the cake for the official Cookit launch.

Lunch was provided and recipes from different eras were served to give a taste of eating in the past.

Russell Prue, the well known Educational ICT Evangelist broadcasted live from the event, this included interviews from several of our attendees. You can follow the link to hear Russell's broadcast.
